A moulded jug with pink lustre and enamel decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1830. Size: 14.5cm. (5 3/4") high by 19cm. (7 1/2") from the outer edge of the handle to the tip of the spout. This piece is moulded with vines and grapes, but the grapes are very small in relation to the leaves. The body of the jug is covered in a pale yellow glaze and the moulded design is then coloured in pink lustre and turquoise enamel. There is loss to the enamelling on many of the leaves but other than this the jug is in good condition.  |

This plate has a basket moulded border with an arcaded rim. The basket moulding is coloured in green enamel and the centre of the plate is painted with a variation of the house pattern, in various shades of pink lustre. There is one very feint hairline in the rim which is about 1.3cm. (1/2") long but other than this the piece is in excellent condition.

A small pink lustre and black transfer printed jug. Marked, with a black printed mark to the base, 'FRUIT No11', within a floral cartouche. This is the name of the pattern. There is no factory mark but Davenport did produce a number of designs like this. Date: c.1835. Size: 10cm. (4") high. The jug has a very elaborately moulded spout. The body of the jug is printed, in black, with fruits, flowers and bird, butterfly, and this is covered with a pink lustre wash glaze.There is also the unusual addition of green enamel to the top section. There is one very tiny chip to the footrim, (see image).  |

It is moulded in four panels and it has four small feet. The panels on each side are moulded with flowers and foliage and the panels at the front and back are moulded with scroll designs. To the rim is a border of oak leaves and acorns. The moulded designs are all coloured in green and yellow enamels and pink lustre. There is slight flaking to the green enamel but other than this it is in very good condition.  |

The other two are marked with a large impressed daisy and one of these also has a very tiny chip on the footrim of the saucer. (See image). They all have exactly the same decoration.  |

(5 1/4") high and the smallest is 11.5cm.(4 1/2") high. Each jug is moulded with cherubs and lions, which are then coloured in yellow, green, blue, orange,red, flesh colour and brown enamels. This is all on a central band of blue enamel. The largest and the smallest jugs are both in excellent condition but the middle sized one has very slight faults. There is a very tiny chip on the rim and a short hairline crack by the side of the handle. This is barely noticable. |

A large coffee pot and lid. Marked: 'WEDGEWOOD'. This mark
is atributed to William Smith who was a potter at Stafford
Pottery, Stockton-on-Tees, Yorkshire, from 1825 to 1855.
Date: c.1835. Size: 26cm. (10 1/4") high by 21cm. (8
1/4") from the tip of the spout to the extreme of the
handle. This piece is very well potted and decorated with a
black transfer of scrolls and flora, some parts over
enamelled in green and some being coloured with pink lustre.
There are also lustre bands which highlight foot and top rims
plus the wonderful handle terminals of the coffee pot. There
is a very small amount of chipping to the end of the spout, a
chip to the inner rim where the lid has been put down too
hard (not visible when the lid is in place) and a small chip
under the foot.  |
