A silver resist lustre jug decorated with a bird. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 12cm. (4 3/4") high. This jug is well decorated with a similar bird to both sides. There is a 1cm. long chip to the underside of the footrim and two chips to the end of the spout. The jug is also quite stained to the inside although the lustre is still good and bright.

A silver resist lustre jug decorated with a stylised floral design. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 14cm. (5 1/2") high. This jug has a chip to the footrim which is visible when the jug is standing. It also has a small chip and short hairline crack to the edge of the spout. There is slight wear to the lustre under the spout.

A silver resist lustre jug decorated with a stylised floral design above garlands. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 15cm. (6") high. This jug has two star cracks, one to the side and one to the base.There is also staining, inside the base of the jug, and there are a couple of small areas where the glaze has lifted. These do not affect the outside of the jug at all and the lustre is still good and bright.

A small moulded childs' plate with pink lustre and enamel decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1830. Size: 15.8cm. (6 1/4") diameter. The border of this plate is moulded with roses and the centre is decorated with a basket of flowers. The style of decoration is quite naive and the piece is in excellent condition. £78.  U.S.A. +£10.

A moulded jug decorated with the pink lustre house pattern. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 15.3cm. (6") high. The shape of the handle on this jug is very unusual. The base of the jug is moulded in a basket weave design and above this is a variation on the house pattern in shades of pink lustre. There is a very short feint hairline in the rim, by the spout, and a further feint hiarline lower down in the spout. There is also a glaze crack in the base. None of these are very noticable.

Fab185 A Victorian copper lustre jug. Unmarked. Date: c.1860. Size: 13.5cm. (5 1/4"). This jug is decorated with a band of orange enamel on which there is a grape and vine design in copper lustre. A small piece is missing from the end of the handle, where it joins onto the body of the jug, but otherwise the condition is good. £58. U.S.A. +£10.

Fab180 A transfer printed, earthenware jug with pink lustre decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1840. Size: 12cm. (4 3/4") high. This jug has black transfer prints of a man on horseback to either side but under the spout is a print of a beehive and a ribbon which reads 'BY INDUSTRY AND TEMPERANCE OUR WEALTH WILL INCREASE'. There is a feint star crack to the base and there is some rubbing and misfiring to the rim but otherwise the condition is good.

Fab221 A creamware jug with a puce tranfer and pink lustre decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 12.7cm. (5") high. This jug has puce coloured prints to either side, showing buildings in landscapes. These are bordered with pink lustre lines. There is a star crack to the base, which does not show through on the inside, and there are two small hairline cracks in the rim. There is also slight rubbing to some of the pink lustre.

S8195 A copper lustre moulded jug. Unmarked. Date: c.1840. Size: 16cm. (6 1/4") high. This jug is well moulded, with figures, on a central blue band. The figures are enamelled in colours. There is a chip to the side of the spout which is just under 1cm. long. Other than this the condition is good.

Fab76 A silver resist lustre jug with a stylised leaf design. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 14cm. (5 1/2") high. This jug has a stylised leaf design running in vertical bands. It has a very small chip to the spout and slight wear to the lustre on the rim but is otherwise good. £195. Nil
S8162 An unusual shaped, moulded pink lustre jug. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size:13cm. (5 1/8") high. This piece has unusual moulding on the shoulder of the jug. Under this it is decorated with a version of the pink lustre house pattern. There is one large and one smaller chip to the rim and a short hairline crack also to the rim.

S8180 A very unusual silver resist lustre teapot with a blue transfer decoration, unfortunately without lid,. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size:12.5cm. (5") high. This is a very unusual rural scene to find in combination with the silver lustre. It is in very good condition, with only very slight wear to the lustre on the highpoints. £225. Nil.
S8184 A pearlware two handled loving cup with silver resist lustre decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 12.5cm. (5") high. This piece has two bands of a stylised foliate design. There is restoration to the base of one handle and a short hairline crack to the rim. There is also very slight wear to the lustre. £115. U.S.A. +£10.

S8187 A large silver resist, named and dated jug with farming implements. Unmarked. Date: c.1813. Size: 20cm. (8") high. This jug has various farming implements in silver reslist lustre. Under the spout it reads 'Ricd Bretten, The Jug, is,out Fill it Again 1813'. The lustre on the piece is very good and bright but there is some damage. There are chips to the footrim and a crack across the base which continues 2.5cm (1") up the side before splitting and running in two direction for a short distance. Also a piece has been out of the spout and has been stuck back.

S8188 A named and dated silver resist lustre jug. Unmarked. Date: c.1811. Size: 17cm. (6 3/4") high. This jug is decorated, in silver resist, with farming implements. Some of these I have not seen before (note the gloves hanging on the pick). Under the spout, in a cartouche, is 'Warborton, Bowed. 1811.' There is a small chip on the end of the spout which has been stuck back, another small chip on the foot and a short hairline crack to the rim. The lustre, however, is in good bright condition, with only slight wear on some of the highpoints. Click on an apple for other views of the jug. £575. Nil
S8191 A large sprig moulded pearlware jug with and pink lustre and enamelled decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size:16.2cm.
(6 3/8 ") high. This piece is finely moulded with cherubs and chariots. The moulding is highlighted in varying shades of pink lustre and enamel and the border has a band of stylised leaves in pink lustre. There is a small piece of sprigging missing from under the spout but other than this the jug is in excellent condition.

S8193 A sprig moulded pearlware jug with and pink lustre and enamelled decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size:12cm. (4 3/4") high. This piece is finely moulded with cherubs and chariots. The moulding is highlighted in varying shades of pink lustre and the border has a grape and vine design. A chip to the rim has been well restored and there is a very tiny chip on the spout.

S8198 An unusual shaped copper lustre jug. Unmarked. Date: c.1840. Size:16cm. (6 1/4") high. This jug has a centrtal blue band which is moulded with birds and flowers which are decorated in coloured enamels. Around the neck are further blue enamelled stripes. S8208 A copper lustre goblet moulded with figures in a chariot. Unmarked. Date: c.1850. Size: 11cm. (4 1/4") high. The moulding on this goblet is very unusual although the quality is not the best.The figures are decorated in coloured enamels on an orangey band. Q5531 A pearlware jug, unmarked but atributed to William Smith who was a potter at Stafford Pottery, Stockton-on-Tees, Yorkshire, from 1825 to 1855. This piece is very well potted and decorated with a black transfer of scrolls and flora, some parts over enamelled in green and some being coloured with pink lustre. Size: 13cm. (5 ") high. It is in excellent condition.

zbc A small Wedgwood silver lustre jug. Marked: 'WEDGWOOD OF ETRURIA & BARLASTON. MADE IN ENGLAND'. Also marked with a pattern number 'CMN 5229' in red print and an impressed 'YN52'. This impressed mark dates the jug to 1952. Size: 7cm. (2 3/4") high.
The design is hand painted and is very bold. The jug is in perfect condition. We also have a larger example with the same design. It is 9cm. (3 1/2") high. The marks are the same except that there is no impressed year mark. It is also in perfect condition.

S7979 A good copper and pink lustre jug with sprig moulded decoration.
Unmarked. Date: c.1830. Size: 13.3cm. (5 1/4") high. This jug has engine turned bands above and beneath the central copper lustre band, onto which are applied classical sprigs. Under the spout is a very finely moulded basket of flowers. This piece is very good quality. Under one of the sprigs is a small shallow chip to the engine turned band. Other than this the jug is in very good condition.

S7766 A pink lustre part tea service, comprising a teapot, jug, bowl and four cups and saucers. Unmarked. Date: c.1830. Size: Teapot:18cm. (7") high by 29cm. (11 1/2") from tip of spout to outer edge of handle. Jug: 12cm. (4 3/4") high. Bowl: 16cm. (6 1/4") diameter by 8.3cm. (3 1/4") high. Cups and saucers: 7cm. (2 3/4") total height by 14.5cm. (5 3/4") diameter of saucer. All pieces are decorated, in shades of pink lustre, with a landscape pattern. This is unusual as normally there is some form of building in this type of design. There is a chip on the lid of the teapot, two chips on the footrim of one of the saucers, one cup has a short hairline crack and one cup has some very small chips to the rim. S7760 A moulded copper lustre goblet. Unmarked. Date: c.1880. Size: 10.7cm. (4 1/4") high. This piece is moulded, to both sides, with a flower on a blue band. The flower is coloured in bright enamels and the leaves are coloured in copper lustre. S7701 A pink lustre creamer decorated with a version of the house pattern. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 9cm. (3") high by 14.5cm. (5 3/4") long from the tip of the spout to the outer edge of the handle. The painting on this piece, which is in various shades of pink lustre, depicts a thatched cottage. It is much more detailed than usual for this type of ware. The creamer is in excellent condition.

S7047 A large canary ground jug with silver lustre and red enamel decoration. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 17.7cm. (7") high. This piece is hand painted with a stylised floral and foliate design. There is fading to the lustre on the rim, mainly restricted to one side, and slight misfiring to the glaze on the top of the handle. Otherwise the piece is in excellent condition, with no damage.

R5091 A pink lustre, house pattern, dinner plate. Marked with an impressed diamond shape which is probably the mark of the Swansea factory. Date: c.1820. Size: 25cm. (10") diameter. This plate is decorated, in shades of pink lustre, with a version of the house pattern. It is unusual to find dinner wares in this type of pattern. It has a 5cm. A large coffee pot and lid. Marked: 'WEDGEWOOD'. This mark is atributed to William Smith who was a potter at Stafford Pottery, Stockton-on-Tees, Yorkshire, from 1825 to 1855. Date: c.1835. Size: 26cm. (10 1/4") high by 21cm. (8 1/4") from the tip of the spout to the extreme of the handle. This piece is very well potted and decorated with a black transfer of scrolls and flora, some parts over enamelled in green and some being coloured with pink lustre. There are also lustre bands which highlight foot and top rims plus the wonderful handle terminals of the coffee pot. There is a very small amount of chipping to the end of the spout, a chip to the inner rim where the lid has been put down too hard (not visible when the lid is in place) and a small chip under the foot. £575. This piece is very well potted and decorated with a black transfer of scrolls and flora, some parts over enamelled in green and some being coloured with pink lustre. Size: 13.5cm. (5 1/8") high by 10.5cm. (4 1/8") diameter. There is a chip to the inner rim of the sucrier bowl (not visible when the lid is in place) otherwise the condition is good. Notice the little lion mask handles.

M2727 A pink lustre house pattern saucer dish. Unmarked. Date: c.1820. Size: 20.3cm. (8") diameter. The lustre is a good bright colour and the design depicts a large and grand type of house pattern within a pink lustre border. There is some rubbing and scratching to the lustre though in my opinion not enough to spoil the appearance of the dish (visable in the image). Otherwise the condition is good. £68. U.S.A.
