A small, 18th century, creamware mould with a thistle to the base. This mould is very finely potted and it stands on three peg feet. The thistle, to the base, is very well defined, with excellent detail, and this is surrounded by a border which is know as the loop and pin, or egg and dart design. There are some tiny pieces of kiln grit in the glaze and there is a small chip on the rim with a fine hairline crack running from it.
