A nineteenth century, earthenware jelly mould. This has a well defined turkey to the base, with a fancy borders of saw teeth and loops. This combination would turn out very well. The mould has taken a small knock on the foot and there is a chip which has not yet come out. This can be seen in the image of the underside. Overall, there is crazing and discolouration to the glaze, from use. The mould dates from c.1850.
