A Brown and Polson’s, ceramic blanc-mange mould. This has a two tiered, geometric design to the interior with the initials “B&P” to the top. The exterior is printed with a recipe for a corn flour blanc-mange. The mould is made from a heavy earthenware and dates from c.1890. It is in very good condition, with just a little wear to the glaze on the exterior of the flat top.
