An early 19th century pottery jelly mould in the shape of a lion. This is a great shaped mould which turns out the full form of a lion, with a slightly human looking face, typical of images of lions from the Georgian period. It dates from c.1820. It is nicely potted, in earthenware, and has very good detail. It is in excellent condition.
