An interesting shaped, small earthenware mould with an asparagus design to the base. This mould has an impressed 'MINTON' mark and it is also impressed with 'No 41' over the number '4'. No 41 relates to the pattern number in Mintons pattern books from the mid 19th century and the number 4 relates to the size. It dates from c.1850. This mould is an unusual shape and it has a bunch of asparagus to the base with small flowers to either side. The design is deep and well moulded and the piece is in excellent condition. This design is more often seen in larger sizes and is quite uncommon in this small size.
