Small ironstone mould

A small, ironstone mould with a pineapple to the base. The pineapple was the Georgian symbol of welcome and this mould would probably have been used, for an individual starter, to welcome your guest to the table. It dates from c.1860 and the moulding is quite well detailed. It is in excellent condition.
