A small, 19th century, earthenware jelly mould with a lion to the base. This is a lovely design, with a finely detailed, recumbent lion on the top and long, stylised leaves around the sides. It has no manufacturers marks but it is impressed with a number ‘5’ which relates to the length of the mould in inches. It dates from c.1850. There is staining to the mould, which can be seen in the images, and there is a very tiny chip to the rim.
Dimensions: Length 13.1cm. Width 8.5cm. Depth 8cm.
