A Shelley, Carlton pattern, mould. This design is quite architectural and it turns out very well. Once turned out, the dip in the top can be filled with a cream or sauce. The mould is marked, in green print, ’Shelley’ in a shield, above ‘ENGLAND’ and it dates from c.1920. This is one of the designs that Shelley named after London hotels and it was made in four different sizes. This is stamped with a number ‘3’. It is in excellent condition.
