A Shelley pottery jelly mould. This is marked, in green transfer print, with “SHELLEY” in a shield, above “ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. The design was catalogued by Shelley as the French pattern. It was made in four sizes, this being the smallest, a size 1, with a capacity of 1 pint. It is a great shape which turns out very well, looking something like a marquee. It is in excellent, usable condition.
