A Shelley 'Swan' pattern mould. On the tail end of the swan is a black printed mark which reads 'Shelley', in a shield, with 'ENGLAND' beneath. This mark dates the mould to c.1930. Shelley made five different moulds with animal designs and they are all quite collectable. They were each made in three different sizes. The swan is one of those which was modelled on both the interior and the exterior, making it great for display as well as use, and the moulding is exceptionally well detailed. It is in excellent condition.
