A Shelley pottery jelly mould in the shape of a swan. This is marked, in black transfer print, “Shelley” within a shield, above “ENGLAND”, and it dates from c.1930. Shelley made the swan design in three different sizes and this is the mid size. It is a delightful mould as it displays very well when not in use but it also turns out beautifully. It is in excellent condition. There are three small marks on the rim but these are from where the mould sat on stilts in the kiln.
