A 19th century, bronze pestle and mortar. This piece is cast in bronze and both the mortar and pestle are of a fairly simple form. They date from c.1860. The mortar is 13.6cm. diameter by 11cm. high and the pestle is 18.5cm. long. This is a good size for everyday use and both parts are in very good condition.
