An 18th century, shallow cast brass ladle. This is cast in one piece and has a rectangular end to the handle, with a long, pierced, rectangular aperture. There is a maker's mark on the handle and, although worn, you can still make out a letter ‘A'
The rim of the ladle is slightly misshapen, from use, which adds character to the piece.
