A fabulous, small, late 19th century/early 20th century, brass pepper mill. The front of this is inset with a coin with a head and the inscription "FERENCZ JÓZSEF I.K.A .CS.ÉS.M.H.S.D.O.AP.KIR” This is a Hungarian silver crown which dates from 1892-1906. From this we can assume that the mill is of Hungarian manufacture. It is a charming piece which is both decorative and functional. It has been fully overhauled and is in very good, working condition.
