Code: G20279
An early 20th century lion mould with a copper top and tin sides. The top section of this mould, with the lion, is made from copper and this has a rolled seam which attaches it to the tin sides. These have been given a coppered finish to make the whole piece look like copper but the tin is showing through on the high points. It is stamped with ‘C B’ above ‘B’ in a form of monogram and to the opposite side is number ’57 3/4’. The lion is well modelled and the piece is in good condition but the interior is very worn so it could not be used.
Possibly American. Date c. 1910.
Dimensions: Length 19.4cm. Width 13.2cm. Height 13cm.
