A very good quality, 19th century, brass trivet for standing a kettle by the side of the fire. This is English and it dates from c.1860. It has a heavy, cast brass pillar and the base is very heavily weighted, for stability. The top has an interesting, pierced design and overall it is a very attractive piece. It is in excellent condition.
