A super quality, late 19th century, sycamore breadboard. The border is well carved with “Speed the Plough” and ivy leaves against a textured background. The carving is still in exceptional condition as the board has seen little use. It was probably kept on show and only used on high days and holidays. There are a few scratch marks from use and a couple of tiny stains but generally it is in excellent condition.
