A nineteenth century, beechwood breadboard. This is carved with acorns and stylised oak leaves. It is also carved with “WELCOME” but this has probably been over carved as the original carving may have become very worn. It dates from c.1870. It is in very good condition with just the usual scratching, to both the face and reverse, from use. The wood has a lovely, rich honey coloured patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 29.8cm. Depth 1.8cm.
