A nicely carved, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This is quite an early board dating from c.1860. The border is carved with corn and bulrushes. Originally the carving would have been quite deep but it is now well worn, giving character to the board. It is in good condition, with no splits or chips, but there is some staining which is giving the wood a slightly greyish colour.
