An interesting, Victorian, sycamore breadboard with a deeply carved geometric border. The design to the border, which is most unusual, is very well carved and the board dates from c.1880. It has a lovely, pale patina. There are three chips to the rim but it is difficult to say whether this is damage or whether they came out when the board was being carved. Otherwise it is in very good condition with some scratching to the face, from use.
