A 19th century, steel bread knife with a carved wooden handle. The handle is carved, from sycamore, with an ear of corn and long leaves. It dates from c.1880. Originally there was some engraving on the blade but this is now too worn to be legible. The carved handle is also worn and the collar which holds the blade to the handle is slightly damaged but it is not loose.
