A nice quality, steel bread knife with a carved wooden handle. The steel blade is marked “CHRISR JOHNSON & Co. SHEFFIELD ENGLAND” and it is also engraved with “Bread Knife” in an ornate script. The handle is well carved, from sycamore, with a single ear of wheat on a stipple background. It dates from c.1900 and is in excellent condition.
