A beautiful, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This was originally, very deeply carved with a border of acorns and oak leaves, grapes and vines, and wheat. It is quite unusual to have all of these elements together. The carving is now well worn, giving character to the board. There is slight scratching, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition and has a rich, honey coloured patina.
