A well carved, Victorian beechwood breadboard. This is deeply carved with a border of leaves, berries and flowers and there is good detail to the carving. It is very light in weight, as the wood has dried out over the years, and it dates from c.1870. There are a number of shallow chips to the rim, which can be seen in the images, and the usual scratching, from use, to both the face and the reverse of the board.
Dimensions: Diameter 29.8cm. Depth 1.8cm.
