Sycamore Breadboard carved with "Bread"

A nicely carved, Victorian sycamore breadboard. This is carved with the word “Bread” opposite a flower, with two long, dividing leaves. The wood has a lovely, pale honey coloured patina and the board dates from c.1880. There is wear to the carving and there are the usual scratches to both the face and the reverse of the board from use.
