A Victorian sycamore breadboard carved with long leaves, barley and flowers. This board is well carved and there is still very good detail to the design. It is slightly warped with age and it dates from c.1880. There is very slight scratching to the both sides of the board, from use, and there is a short crack to the wood on the rim. This is still quite close and it hasn’t opened out. The wood has a lovely, honey coloured patina.
