An early 20th century, carved sycamore breadboard. This is simply carved but it is nice being octagonal in form. It dates from c.1920 and the wood has a lovely, pale patina. There is the usual scratching to both sides of the board, from use, and there is also a small, dark stain to the reverse. Otherwise it is in good, usable condition.
