A Victorian, carved sycamore breadboard. This has a very simple ridged border which would have been carved whilst the board was being turned. Although simple it is a pleasing design. There are a couple of wood worm holes in the face of the board and a lot more in the reverse. These can be seen in the images and they have been treated. Otherwise it is in good condition and the wood has a honey coloured patina.
