A lovely quality, Victorian sycamore breadboard. This is very well carved with leaves, wheat and a ribbon but the carving is now very well worn, giving wonderful character to the board. The wood has a beautiful, rich, honey coloured patina and it dates from c.1860. It is in good condition, with just the usual scratching to both the face and the reverse of the board from use.
