Sycamore Breadboard with Worn Carving

A Victorian, sycamore breadboard with a carved border. This is English and it dates from c.1880. The border is carved with long ears of wheat and corn which terminate in a belt. The carving is now very worn, from use, and this gives character to the board which otherwise is in excellent condition. The wood has a lovely, pale patina.

Dimensions: Diameter 29.8cm. Depth 1.8cm.
