A Victorian, beechwood breadboard with a carved border. This is English and it dates from c.1880. The border is carved with the word “Bread”. Originally there would have been long lives or maybe flowers but these are so worn that they are now illegible. There is scratching to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use, and there is a dark knot in the wood, almost in the centre of the board. The reverse of the board is stained.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2cm.
