A nineteenth century, oval, carved wooden breadboard. This is carved in beechwood, with a bow to the top, barley and stylised leaves. The carving is now extremely well worn from use but the board has a rich, golden patina. It is in good condition, with just the usual knife marks from use. These are evident on both the face and the underside of the board as boards were often turned over for use so as not to put all the wear on the carved side.
