A Victorian breadboard carved from sycamore. Originally this would have been deeply carved with wheat, barley and leaves but the carving is now very worn and full of character. The wood has a lovely honey coloured patina and it dates from c.1880. There is slight staining, mainly to the reverse, and this can be seen in the images. It also has scratching to the face of the board, from use.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 1.8cm.
