A super quality, 19th century child’s plate decorated in polychrome enamels. This is potted in pearlware. It has a central transfer print showing a fiddler and this is surrounded by a moulded border of small flowers. Both the print and the moulding are highlighted in polychrome enamels. There is a small hole in the rim, but this is partially filled with glaze, so it would appear to have been made during the manufacture. Other than this the plate is in excellent condition.
