A large 1950’s teddy bear, probably made by Chad Valley. This is a most delightful Ted, with his large brown eyes, and black woolly nose. Considering his age, he is in remarkable condition. There is wear to the pads on his feet and hands, with a little of the straw showing through on the feet, and he has had two small stitched repairs on his legs each one being about 2cm. long. There is also some stitching down his back and a little at the base of his neck, but, amazingly, he still growls when moved. He is 76cm tall, 38cm across at the arms, and 13cm fat.
