Early 19th cent. chopper

An early 19th century steel herb or vegetable chopper. This is hand forged, and fairly primitive in style, which gives it a certain charm. It dates from c.1830. The handle, which is also very simple, is carved from oak. It is generally in good condition but there is some pitting to the steel blade, as one would expect from nearly two centuries of use.
