A nineteenth century, steel ice or sugar cleaver in the shape of a fox. This is nicely shaped and the fox has a copper rivet as an eye. The wooden handle is attached by copper rivets and a brass collar and the piece dates from c.1880. It is in very good condition with just a little scratching and pitting to the blade, from use.
