A steel, sugar or ice cleaver in the shape of a fox. The steel blade of this cleaver is nicely shaped as a fox and there is a tiny brass rivet for an eye. The steel has been chromed, to prevent rusting, and this has then been textured to look like fur. The handle forms the tail of the fox and this is made from a reddy brown coloured fibre block. It dates from c.1910 and it is in very good condition.
