A beautifully shaped, 19th century, wrought steel herb chopper with a wooden saw handle. This type of chopper was made by the same companies that made saws and often carry their manufacturers marks, however this example is unmarked. It is extremely well made, it is English, and it dates from c.1860.
There is pitting to the blade, from use, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
