An interesting, 19th century, steel herb or vegetable chopper with a wooden handle. This is English and it dates from c.1850. The blade is nicely shaped, with a heart shape beneath the handle and large circular cut outs to the sides. The handle is held in place by steel rivets but these have been hammered in to resemble flower shapes. There is a small piece of wood missing from the corner of the handle on one side and there is slight pitting to the blade, from use. Otherwise it is in good condition.
Dimensions: Length 19.5cm. Height 11.6cm. Diameter of handle 2.2cm.
