An early 19th century steel herb chopper with a curved blade and a turned wooden handle. This is cast from quite a light gauge of steel and is probably blacksmith made. The handle is turned from oak and is quite burnt at one end where it has probably been left too close to the stove. There is pitting to the blade, from use.
