A small cast steel herb chopper. This is marked, in the casting “W & WYNN CAST STEEL”. This is the mark of W and C Wynn (although the C was missed when the mark was struck), of Suffolk Street, Birmingham, and it dates from c.1860. The blade is simple in form and the handle is carved in beechwood.
It is in very good condition, with just very minor pitting to the blade.
