An eighteenth century, polychrome, Dutch Delft plate. This is decorated, in blue, green, manganese, iron red and yellow, with a floral design and circular cartouches containing insects. The plate dates from c.1760. There is wear to the glaze, on the rim, but this is usual with Delft as the tin glaze is soft and has a tendency to flake. There is also a chip to the rim which can be seen in the images.
Dimensions: Diameter 22.2cm. Depth 2.7cm.
