A Victorian copper scale pan. This would have originally have been part of a set of hanging scales, as there are three holes in the rim, that the chains would have attached to. It is interesting in that it has a good, Victorian assay stamp right in the middle so, now, it would be a good decorative piece to hang on a wall. The stamp has ‘V R’ under a crown and ‘1892’ above a portcullis.
There is slight pitting to the copper but other than that it is in very good condition.
