An unusual shaped, French copper pot. This would originally have been for use with food, as the interior was tinned. The tin is now very worn but it would make a lovely container for standing kitchen utensils in or for a plant. It is nicely made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has neatly castellated seams around the base and up the side. The steel handle has well shaped terminals and the piece dates from c.1860. It is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 18.2cm. Diameter at the base 15.5cm. Width 23cm.
