An early 19th century copper ale jug of bulbous form. This is a particularly attractive shape and it dates from c.1820. The handle is hollow and, as is often the case with this form of handle, it does have some denting. There is a castellated seam running behind the handle.

Condition: Minor denting consistent with age and use and two small splits to the top rim.
