A small sized, 19th century, French copper casserole. This no longer has its cover or drainer so it is now for decorative purposes only and would make an interesting jardiniere. It is marked with a number ’26’ which relates to the internal length in centimetres. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, has castellated seams around the base and up the side. There are brass handles to either end and it dates from c.1880. There is very slight marking to the copper, from use, but otherwise it is in good condition.
