A 19th century, French copper cauldron on three feet. This would have been used over an open fire. It is probably blacksmith/country made, with brazed seams, a planished finish to the copper, and a wrought iron handle and fittings. The interior has never been tinned, so it couldn’t be used for cooking now, but it is a lovely decorative shape.
French. Date c.1880.
