A good quality, 19th century, French copper, grain measure. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The copper has a slightly planished finish. It has hollow handles to either side and the banded decoration is designed to make it resemble a drum. This would make an excellent, large jardiniere or container for a small tree. It is in excellent condition.
